Jayson Tatum scored 29 points and shot 76.9 percent on the night as the Boston Celtics topped the Memphis Grizzlies by a 122-107 final on Tuesday. The Celtics have now won four in a row.
Tatum added 6 rebounds in a game where he shot his second-highest FG percentage of the season. He previously shot 12-for-15 (80 percent) on Jan. 4 against the Bulls. He also went 4-for-5 from the free-throw line on Tuesday night.
The 22-year-old took control of the game early on, scoring 17 in the first half. Boston led by as much as 22 in the first half and led 56-40 at halftime.
Memphis clawed back to within 11 late in the fourth quarter, but a Gordon Hayward three-pointer with 5:21 remaining extinguished hopes of a comeback.
