It was a short stay on the Patriots' PUP list for wide receiver Mohamed Sanu.

One of three Patriots placed on the team's physically unable to perform list on Sunday, Tuesday came with the 30-year-old officially taken off the list, according to the NFL's transaction wire.

It's a positive step forward for Sanu, who has been training like an absolute madman (and with Cam Newton) after an ankle injury limited his effectiveness towards the end of the regular season and ultimately required offseason surgery.

Sanu, acquired from the Falcons last season in exchange for a second-round pick, totaled 59 catches, 520 yards, and two touchdowns in 15 games between Atlanta and New England.

With Julian Edelman the lone certainty of the Patriots' air attack, there's definite hope that a healthier Sanu will look closer to the pre-injury 2019 version of himself, which came with a 72.3 percent catch rate compared to a 44.8 percent catch rate following his injury.

Sanu's removal from the PUP list leaves running back Sony Michel and special teamer Brandon King as the two Patriots currently unable to participate in 2020 training camp.
