The Red Sox offense is picking up right where they left off in 2019, as one of the league’s best.

In the third inning on Friday night, the 2020 Sox got on the board in a big way, stringing together four doubles to take an early 4-0 lead over the Baltimore Orioles.

Jackie Bradley Jr. started the inning off with a two bagger down the left field line. Jose Peraza, in his first Red Sox at-bat, then drove him in with another double two pitches later.

But the Red Sox weren’t done. After an Andrew Benintendi strikeout, JD Martinez drove in Peraza on yet another double down the left field line.

Kevin Pillar, also making his Red Sox debut, capped the inning off with a double of his own, driving in both Martinez and Rafael Devers, who had walked to get on.
