Robert Kraft isn’t on the seemingly massive list of names of potential buyers of the New York Mets. Still, one high-profile group on that list has managed to get the Patriots owner in their corner.

According to the New York Post, RKK and his son Jonathan met with the group highlighted by celebrity couple Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez earlier this month at Gillette Stadium. Also in attendance were members of JP Morgan Chase’s private wealth group, who are a part of the couple’s bid.

The Krafts gave the group a tour of both Gillette Stadium and the surrounding Patriots Place shopping and entertainment center. According to the report, A-Rod, and J-Lo’s group hopes to rebuild Willets Point, an area adjacent to Citi Field, into a similar type of development.

The Post says the Krafts could be a partner in making that happen, but stressed “the Krafts are not interested in owning the Mets and would not join the J-Rod [J-Lo and A-Rod] bid as even a limited partner.”
