At this rate, the New England Patriots will have all 10 of their 2020 draft picks signed by the end of the weekend.
After handling six of their 10 picks on Wednesday and Thursday, Friday came with the confirmation that the Patriots have also signed tight end Devin Asiasi and offensive lineman Michael Onwenu.
Drafted by the Patriots with the No. 91 overall pick, Asiasi started all 12 games and posted career-best marks with 44 receptions for 641 yards and four touchdowns at UCLA in 2019, earning All-Pac 12 honorable mention honors. Asiasi transferred to UCLA following his freshman year in 2016, and totaled 52 catches for 789 yards and six touchdowns in 18 games between the Wolverines and Bruins.
The 6-foot-3, 350-pound Onwenu, meanwhile, was a four-year letterman at Michigan and a two-time All-Big Ten third team selection before being drafted by the Patriots with the No. 182 overall pick in last month’s draft. Onwenu appeared in 46 career games (including 35 starts at guard) during his time at Michigan.
With Asiasi and Onwenu signed, only safety Kyle Dugger and tight end Dalton Keene remain as unsigned members of their 2020 class.
