Bill O’Brien compared DeAndre Hopkins to Aaron Hernandez

As bad as things seemed to be going in Houston, it turns out they’re even worse.
Speaking with ESPN’s Get Up Wednesday morning, Michael Irvin said he spoke with DeAndre Hopkins following Monday’s trade. Hopkins told Irvin that Texans head coach Bill O’Brien once compared him to Aaron Hernandez (yes, that Aaron Hernandez), and complained about his ‘baby mamas’ being in the facility.
Michael Irvin says DeAndre Hopkins told him that Bill O’Brien pulled him into a meeting and equated him to Aaron Hernandez. Also O’Brien didn’t like Hopkins having his "Baby Mamas" coming around.

Keep in mind Hopkins has no history of run-ins with the law, or anything resembling the sort. An unsportsmanlike conduct fine relating to taunting in 2015 is as much as you’ll find. Heck, he was even a class act about these rumors:

Yet apparently, Bill O’Brien sees things differently.
After bizarre decision making and poor game management that cost his team in last year’s playoffs, it was rumored O’Brien’s job could be hanging in the balance. Instead he received a promotion, being named the Texans’ GM as well as head coach.
With his first major move widely panned as a disaster, could O’Brien be nearing the chopping block again. We’ll wait and see. In the meantime, NFL teams should be calling offering their seventh round picks for J.J. Watt.
