Brad Marchand kept his crazy scoring streak alive on Tuesday night with a shorthanded goal against the Calgary Flames. It was Marchand’s 25th goal of the season and the 27th shorty of his career, extending his Bruins franchise record.

Watch below as Marchand snatches a bouncing puck away from the attacking Flames power play in the neutral zone, before chipping it ahead to create a breakaway chance. He finished the play off as he rifled it past Flames goalie David Rittich to make it 1-1 in the second period at the time.

Unfortunately, the tie didn’t last long. Calgary’s Sean Monahan scored just 3:17 later, and again 1:12 after that to make it 3-1 Flames. They took that lead to the second intermission at TD Garden.

Through two periods, Marchand’s goal is one of very few things to go well for the Bruins in this game. The Bruins may need the red-hot Marchand to dig them out of their deficit. He’s up to two goals and eight assists in his last seven games.
