Boston media got their first chance to speak with outfielder Alex Verdugo on Saturday. He was asked and answered questions on a number of different topics, including an alleged assault he witnessed while in the minor leagues with the Dodgers.

"With that incident, there were a lot of reports," Verdugo told reporters. "Obviously my name being mentioned in the allegations, it hurts. It really does hurt. It's hard. I don't want Boston fans for people to judge me on something they've read or seen posted."
