After months of nonsense, and with less than a day to go before the trade deadline, the Redskins are finally open to trading left tackle Trent Williams.

With less than 24 hours to go before the NFL trade deadline, the Redskins are finally open to the idea of trading disgruntled left tackle Trent Williams, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Rapoport also noted that team has started identifying suitors and that the Browns have been among those interested in acquiring the seven-time Pro Bowler.
A holdout for the entire 2019 season to date, the 6-foot-5 Williams has had no interest in reporting to the Redskins due to an issue with the team's medical staff, and there's no way Washington's status as a 1-7 team without a quarterback has done anything to sway Williams from that hardline stance that's kept him away for the team since minicamp.
This is not the first time that Williams' name has popped up on the rumor mill, of course. It was just back in August that a D.C. sports radio station tried to suggest that the Patriots offered a first-round pick for Williams (something multiple outlets connected to Foxborough quickly shot down), and it was believed that the Browns made a pitch for Williams earlier this month.
The Patriots could still use Williams, too, as there's been a revolving door on the New England offensive line as a whole throughout the regular season, while starting left tackle Isaiah Wynn rests on the injured reserve due to a lower-body ailment.
But while the 'Skins survey the market, a move out of town still seems unlikely if you trust The Washington Post, as the belief is that it would take a "blockbuster" offer, with one source saying that there's no way anybody pays the asking price.
Patriots coach Bill Belichick, meanwhile, was non-committal during a Monday radio appearance when asked if the Patriots were going to make another trade before tomorrow's deadline.
