Former NBA superstar and Celtics icon Kevin Garnett is taking his talents to the big screen.
One of the more active on-screen talents since his retirement from professional basketball -- Garnett most recently had an "Area 21" segment on TNT's NBA coverage -- it would appear as if Garnett will have a somewhat major role in "Uncut Gems," a new movie starring Saturday Night Live alum (and New Hampshire native) Adam Sandler.
You may have noticed that Garnett isn't the only sports-related star in this movie, as legendary New York sports radio host Mike Francesa is also featured in the trailer, letting Sandler's character know just how dumb his bet (which rides entirely on Garnett and the Celtics based on the trailer) is. No word if Jason Giambi is going to be part of this movie.
While this will be Garnett's first time in theaters, this is not Garnett's first dip into film as a whole, as he played Wilt Chamberlain in the 1996 TV movie "Rebound: The Legend of Earl 'The Goat' Manigault."
"Uncut Gems" is due in theaters this December.
