We finally have a date for the first game action for the 2019-20 Boston Celtics, as the team released the full schedule for their four-game preseason slate on Friday morning.

Boston’s four-game preseason schedule will feature three Eastern Conference opponents, beginning with the opener against the Hornets on Oct. 6. Assuming it’s a full roster on each side, the game will feature Kemba Walker’s first head-to-head with his former team, while Terry Rozier would be making his return to TD Garden.

The Celtics will then travel to Orlando to face the Magic on Oct. 11.

And after their stop in Orlando, the C’s will conclude the preseason slate with a home-and-home series against the Cleveland Cavaliers at TD Garden on Oct. 13 and then at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Oct. 15.

It’s been a busy summer for the Celtics, as they added the aforementioned Walker on a max contract and signed center Enes Kanter to replace departed free agents Kyrie Irving and Al Horford. The team also drafted guard Romeo Langford with the No. 14 overall pick at the 2019 NBA Draft, as well as second-round selections Carsen Edwards, Grant Williams, and Tremont Waters. Then there’s 7-foot-6 center Tacko Fall, who played with the team during their 2019 Summer League run in Las Vegas and has signed with the team with the chance of making the team out of training camp.

You can hear all four preseason games on 98.5 The Sports Hub.
