Danny Ainge and the Celtics ended their 2019 NBA Draft with a little New England flavor, drafting LSU point guard and New Haven, Conn. native Tremont Waters with the No. 51 overall pick.

A competitive 5-foot-11 guard, Waters averaged 15.3 points and 5.9 assists per game in 29 appearances for the Tigers in 2018-19, and established collegiate career-highs in total field goals made (153) and steals (89). Waters closed out his LSU run with a bang, too, scoring a team-high 23 points in LSU's Sweet Sixteen loss to Michigan State.

The 21-year-old Waters was named to the First Team All-SEC in 2019.

With Waters officially in the fold as the Green's last pick of the evening, Boston's 2019 NBA Draft class now reads as guard Romeo Langford (Indiana), forward Grant Williams (Tennessee), guard Carsen Edwards, and Waters.
