Report: Jets could have NFL sideline reporter Peter Schrager consult on GM search
The Jets reportedly want to gauge the opinion of a sideline reporter as they search for their new general manager. Seriously.

It's safe to say there's no organization in sports quite like the New York Jets.
A week after firing general manager Mike Maccagnan amid an apparent power struggle between him and new head coach Adam Gase, the Jets could now look for assistance from NFL sideline reporter and media personality Peter Schrager to help them pick their new GM.
Seriously.
Schrager, who works for NFL Network and Fox Sports in a number of capacities, does not have any front office experience.
The Jets have tapped Gase as their interim general manager while they search for Maccagnan's replacement.
