Absent from Saturday’s morning skate at Warrior Ice Arena, Bruins forward Noel Acciari has been labeled a game-time decision due to an undisclosed injury, according to head coach Bruce Cassidy.

“We gave Noel the morning off,” said Cassidy. “He’ll be a game-time decision for tonight.”

Acciari has one goal and one assist in 11 postseason contests this spring, and also leads the Bruins in hits this postseason, with 38. His 38 hits currently rank as the eighth-most among all playoff skaters.

If Acciari is unable to go, Chris Wagner will slide back into the lineup on Boston’s fourth line with Joakim Nordstrom and Sean Kuraly. The Walpole, Mass. native skated in the first two games of this series and tallied four shots on goal and nine hits before a pair of scratches in Columbus.

With home-ice back on their side, and after hopefully learning their lesson after a Game 5 letdown in round one against the Maple Leafs, the Bruins certainly seem to understand the importance of tonight’s game on Garden ice.

“Having that jump, making sure that we’re not letting any opportunities pass us by and have to play make-up later, certainly an unnecessary lesson to have learned last series, and apply it directly a couple weeks later,” said David Backes.

The Bruins are 1-3 in Game 5 contests under Cassidy.
