The Boston Celtics announced on Wednesday that center Al Horford is questionable for Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers with an illness. Guard Marcus Smart remains out due to a torn left oblique.
Horford continued to be his consistent, reliable all-around self on Sunday in the Celtics’ 84-74 win over Indiana in Game 1 at TD Garden. Horford scored 10 points (4-for-10 shooting) with 5 assists, 1 steal, and a game-high 11 rebounds and plus-20 rating.
If Horford is unable to go for Game 2, that means more minutes for Aron Baynes and perhaps rookie Robert Williams. The C’s gained a 1-0 lead in the series after outscoring the Pacers 46-29 in the second half on Sunday.
