Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins are among the NHL teams interested in signing undrafted OHLer Justin Brazeau, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger.
A 6-foot-6 right winger, Brazeau has simply dominated as a fourth-year OHLer for the North Bay Battalion.
In just 68 games, Brazeau’s 61 goals were the most among all OHL skaters, his 113 points ranked second, and his 314 shots on goal were good for the third-most in the league. Overall, Brazeau has 128 goals and 238 points in 268 OHL contests.
But the Bruins are obviously not alone when it comes to their intrigue in the 21-year-old Brazeau.
According to Dreger, the Columbus Blue Jackets, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Vegas Golden Knights are all interested in Brazeau. (It may be worth noting that Brazeau has some experience with the Blue Jackets organization, as he joined them for their 2017 training camp.)
Brazeau was most recently with the Sharks organization, as he was part of San Jose’s development camp roster last summer.
