Clemson wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has long been a popular choice as a future Patriot. This year he finally makes the jump to the NFL, so the buzz only continues to grow.

It’s grown so much, in fact, that Tom Brady has invaded Renfrow’s dreams. Not in a Freddie Krueger kind of way, but in a ‘Don’t be late to this meeting’ kind of way. He told Scott Keepfer of the Greenville News in South Carolina that he actually dreamed about being in the meeting room with No. 12, which for some may amount to a special kind of night terror.

“I would love to be a Patriot. Whoever gets me, that would be awesome,” Renfrow said. “I had a dream I was a Patriot last night. It was the weirdest thing. I went to sleep and … I was having a meeting with Tom Brady.”

Renfrow has been pegged as a Patriot for a while because of his presence in the slot for Clemson, where he’s grown into a productive role as a former walk-on and come up with big catches in championship games. He confirmed at the Combine that he met with the Patriots at the Senior Bowl.

He’s ready for the big stage, but is he ready for Brady in the meeting room? He’s obviously got it in the back of his mind. We’ll see if Bill Belichick is confident enough to throw him in there.
