Former Patriots tight end Dwayne Allen has signed a two-year, $7 million contract with the Miami Dolphins., according to multiple reports from ESPN.

The 29-year-old’s move to Miami comes just five days after the Patriots officially released Allen after a two-season run with the Patriots.

Primarily utilized as a blocker throughout his Patriots run, Allen recorded 13 catches on 26 targets for 113 yards and a touchdown in 29 games in Foxboro.

Allen’s departure to Miami also continues what’s become a Foxboro South offseason of sorts in South Beach, as former Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores is Miami’s new head coach, while former Patriots wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea is their new offensive coordinator.
