T&R: Pat McAfee rips Ryan Grigson, tells Jim Irsay stories
Former Colts punter and current media personality Pat McAfee has something in common with Patriots fans: he thinks former Colts general manager Ryan Grigson is a complete buffoon.
McAfee joined Toucher & Rich on Radio Row Wednesday morning and talked about his litany of run-ins with his former boss.
“He hated me. He hated everything about me, and I didn’t like him much either. It was like a classic work environment where the guy who is in charge of everything is the worst.”
McAfee said Grigson repeatedly fined him for his posts on Twitter and Instagram, and claims the former GM called him into a meeting and blamed the Colts continued losing on his punter’s social media activity.
But McAfee feels differently about Colts owner Jim Irsay, and raved about the way he was treated by him while also doing his best Irsay impressions.
According to McAfee, legend has it that Irsay, a known music enthusiast, lost a $250,000 guitar once.
Irsay lost a $250,000 guitar.’ I’m like, ‘How do you lose a $250,000 guitar?’ He’s a legend. He can shred on the guitar. He’s not moving that quick, but his fingers have still got it.”
