BOSTON – Kyrie Irving turned in another superstar performance as the Celtics beat the Memphis Grizzlies 122-116 at TD Garden Friday night.
Irving had a monster second half, scoring 28 of his game-high 38 points after the break. He went 14-for-21 from the field, including 4-for-6 from beyond the arc, and added 11 assists.
Marcus Smart had 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting. He was 6-for-8 on three-pointers.
Al Horford added 18 points. Jaylen Brown had 12 points and Terry Rozier had 10.
Mike Conley led the scoring for Memphis with 26 points.
With the victory, the Celtics extended their winning streak at home to eight games.
The Celtics visit the Atlanta Hawks Saturday night.
