Andre Drummond had a monster night for Detroit with 19 points, 20 rebounds, and five blocks. Blake Griffin added a game-high 27 points.
Kyrie Irving had 26 points while Marcus Smart added 21 for Boston.
The Celtics return home on Wednesday night to play the Phoenix Suns.
