Josh McDaniels spurning the Colts in February isn’t cooling any discussion that he could land a head coaching job elsewhere in the NFL.

Albert Breer of The MMQB told Toucher & Rich Friday morning that the Green Bay Packers could look at the Patriots offensive coordinator if they decided to replace long-time head coach Mike McCarthy after this season.

According to Breer, McDaniels has a connection with Packers General Manager Brian Gutekunst. Two years ago, McDaniels and Gutekunst were both candidates for open jobs with the 49ers. McDaniels was a finalist for the head coaching vacancy and Gutekunst was in the running to become the team’s general manager.
