Chris Tierney Retires After 11 Seasons With Revolution
Tierney spent 11 seasons with the Revs, making him the longest-tenured field player in franchise history.

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY SportsRevolution left back Chris Tierney announced his retirement from soccer Thursday, bringing to an end an 11-year career with his hometown team.
The Wellesley native is the longest-tenured field player in the team's history. He played 20 or more matches for the Revs eight years in a row.
Tierney saw his final MLS season ended early when he suffered a torn ACL in May.
The left-footed defender finishes his career with the third most league appearances in franchise history. He is fourth in Revs history in assists.
Tierney scored a goal in the 2014 MLS Cup final, a game the Revs lost to Los Angeles in extra time.
