The absolutely strangest tradition in sports continued last night, as multiple sex toys were thrown on the field by Buffalo Bills fans during the rare Monday Night Football showdown between the Bills and New England Patriots.

That one will get all the glory for making it on the field, but it was actually not the only one thrown, as confirmed by this photo from Ross Tucker.

So, that's, uh, something.

Of course, this is not uncommon when it comes to Bills-Patriots games in Orchard Park, for some weird reason. It happened in Oct. 30, 2016 when the Patriots came to town, and again during New England's lone 2017 visit to New Era Field.

Before the game, the Twitter account of New Era Field seemingly knew about this possibility with a beefed up police and video presence, complete with the warning that fans that became throwers of anything -- sexual or otherwise -- would be arrested.

The infamous Bills Mafia will look to make it four years in a row with 'toys' on the field when the Patriots visit in 2019.
