Price to Start Game 5
Alex Cora nearly turned to David Price as Game 4 of the ALCS was teetering on the brink of disaster.
He will turn to him in Game 5.
Cora announced after Game 4’s 8-6 thrilling win over the Astros that Price will start on Thursday night. He will take the ball in place of Chris Sale, who was scratched from the start as he recovers from a stomach illness.
Price will take the ball on three days rest after going 4 2/3 innings in Game 2.
The lefty was warming in the eighth and nine innings of Game 4, and Cora says he would have pitched had the game gone to extra innings.
