Julian Edelman is in the building. The eagle (the Patriot?) has landed. The chicken is in the coop.

Tom Brady's go-to slot receiver wasted little time getting back into Gillette Stadium on Monday. Perhaps he camped out until midnight. The important thing is, as tweeted by ESPN's Mike Reiss, Edelman was spotted in the building around 7 a.m.

Brady is certainly excited to get one of his most trusted receivers ever back in the locker room, on the field, and in the huddle.

"You know, it will be great to have him," said Brady after the game. "I mean, we haven’t seen him in four weeks, but I know he’ll be ready. And it’s a short week, so I’m sure he’ll be in here ready to go. Everyone loves Jules and loves having him back."

It remains to be seen how transformative Edelman's return will be to the Patriots offense. But in terms of dependability and trust, Brady just got back arguably his best weapon.
