Out of the picture in Cleveland after showing up late to the facility and with a non-football hamstring injury, Gordon’s New England arrival comes after he caught one pass for 17 yards and a touchdown in Cleveland’s Week 1 tie with the Steelers.
Acquired in exchange for a conditional fifth-round draft pick in 2019, the pressure is now on the 27-year-old to suit up for the Patriots.
If Gordon dresses for at least 10 of the Patriots’ 14 remaining games, that fifth-round pick will transfer to Cleveland. If he does not meet that requirement, though, the Patriots will obtain a seventh-round draft pick from the Browns.
