New England Patriots

Just as Rex Burkhead worked his way back from a knee injury, a new ailment has popped up. The Patriots running back is now dealing with a concussion, as evidenced by the team’s Wednesday injury report.

Burkhead gradually recovered from a partial tear in his knee that he will reportedly be able to play through. But on Wednesday, he had to sit out of practice with the concussion, which leaves his status for Sunday against the Jaguars in doubt.

There were no other surprises on the injury report. Here’s the full list from Wednesday:

Did Not Participate:

RB Rex Burkhead – Concussion

Limited Participation:

TE Jacob Hollister – Hamstring
RB Sony Michel – Knee
RT Marcus Cannon – Calf
S Nate Ebner – Knee

Note: The Patriots updated their original injury report, listing Cannon and Ebner as limited participants rather than full.
