Bill Belichick and the Pats have until 4 p.m. to have their 53-man roster finalized. On Friday, the Patriots released/waived six players and traded safety Jordan Richards to the Atlanta Falcons.

5:19 p.m.: Injured TE Will Tye will be waived, per Mike Reiss. If Tye clears waivers, he goes on IR.
5:18 p.m.: The Patriots are waiving WR Riley McCarron and cutting RB Brandon Bolden, per Field Yates.
5:06 p.m.: DE Geneo Grissom made the Patriots' 53-man roster, per Mark Daniels.
5:03 p.m.: The Patriots are waiving LB Harvey Langi, but are expected to place him on the practice squad if he clears waivers, per Doug Kyed.
4:56 p.m.: LB Nicholas Grigsby made the Patriots' 53-man roster, per Doug Kyed.
4:49 p.m.: DT Adam Butler did not hear from the Patriots before Saturday's deadline and will be on the 53-man roster, per Kevin Duffy.
4:30 p.m.: The Patriots have informed OT Matt Tobin that they intend to release him, per Jeff Howe.
4:13 p.m.: DL Keionta Davis made the 53-man roster, per Doug Kyed. Davis missed his entire rookie season with a neck injury and had an impressive summer to start year two.
4:08 p.m.: According to Mark Daniels, undrafted rookie cornerback J.C. Jackson made the 53-man roster.
4:06 p.m.: Per Doug Kyed, DB Jason McCourty will be on the 53-man roster. Rookie CB Keion Crossen is also expected to make the team, despite a sloppy preseason at times.
3:58 p.m.: The Patriots are releasing LB Marquis Flowers, per Karen Guregian.
3:30 p.m.: The Patriots have waived S A.J. Moore, per Doug Kyed.
3:23 p.m.: The Patriots are cutting QB Danny Etling, per Mark Daniels. According to Jeff Howe, the Patriots informed Etling that they hope to carry him on the practice squad.
3:07 p.m.: P Corey Bojorquez has been informed that the Patriots intend to waive him, per Mike Reiss.
3:01 p.m.: The Patriots have released CB Jomal Wiltz, per Jeff Howe.
12:35 p.m: The Patriots have released defensive tackle John Atkins, per Doug Kyed.
12:34 p.m.: The Patriots have released defensive end Eric Lee, per Kevin Duffy.
11:57 a.m.: Patriots OL Ulrick John has a torn tendon in his foot and is expected to undergo surgery and be out for the season. The Boston Sports Journal's Christopher Price was first with the news.
