New England Patriots

Carted off the field in the first half of Thursday’s win over the Eagles, it appears that it is indeed worst-case scenario for New England Patriots offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn, whose season is officially over according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Originally termed an ankle injury, a source has told Schefter that the 21-year-old has suffered a torn Achilles.

Drafted by the Patriots with the No. 23 overall pick this spring, Wynn had started to get some more in-game reps, and was showing signs of challenging for a starting roster spot. New England’s offensive line depth, which had already taken a hit with the offensive departures of Cam Fleming and Nate Solder, has taken an absolute beating this camp.

Fellow 2018 Patriots first-rounder, running back Sony Michel, meanwhile, remains out with a knee injury.
