The New England Patriots may have plans to sign free agent wide receiver Eric Decker, but that did not stop them from bringing fellow free agent wideout Cobi Hamilton into Foxboro for a Friday workout, according to Ian Rapoport.

Waived by the Arizona Cardinals earlier this summer, the 27-year-old Hamilton played in three games for the Houston Texans last season, where he caught one pass (on six targets) for eight yards.

While a member of seven different NFL teams since being drafted in the sixth round by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2013, Hamilton's only actual prior NFL experience came in 2016 with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It was with the Steelers that the 6-foot-2 Hamilton caught 17 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns. Hamilton also caught two catches for 37 yards and a touchdown in Pittsburgh's 36-17 loss to the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game.

Excluding Decker, who has yet to officially sign, the Patriots have 11 receivers signed to their 90-man roster.
