The Boston Celtics have granted the first inside look at the Auerbach Center, their new practice facility in Brighton around the corner from the 98.5 The Sports Hub studios and a stone’s throw away from the Bruins’ Warrior Ice Arena. And it’s even more epic than you may have imagined.
After years of sharing the Healthpoint Center in Waltham with other businesses, the C’s now have a dedicated building with two courts and plenty of other state-of-the-art amenities. The current Celtics will certainly be thrilled with the upgrades, and the facilities could even be good enough to help attract free agents.
In addition to the practice courts, the Auerbach Center includes a gigantic gym, dedicated treatment and film rooms, a huge players lounge, a brand-new locker room complete with a barber’s chair, a kitchen with its own full-time nutritionist, and even a “hydrotherapy” room, and you can see photos of all of them thanks to Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal.
