Almost three months after the 32-year-old Davis was busted in a Maryland hotel with over 120 grams of marijuana and $100,000 in his possession, Davis has been formally charged with 'a felony assault stemming from an alleged violent altercation outside a West Hollywood nightclub in April, according to TMZ Sports.
According to TMZ, the man Davis assaulted was hospitalized with facial fractures, a broken tooth, and broken ribs, and the official charge against Davis is felony assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury.
If convicted, Davis could face up to seven years in prison.
Acquired in the Ray Allen trade of 2007, Davis spent the first four years of his NBA career with the Celtics, and proved to be a valuable bench piece for the C's in 2008, when they captured their first NBA title in 22 years.
Davis would spend another five years in the NBA following his departure from Boston between the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers, and last played in the NBA with the Clippers during the 2014-15 season.
