Teammate Christian Vazquez went 3-for-4 with a double in the 3rd, and a home run in the 7th, to contribute to the Red Sox 7-1 win over the Detroit Tigers at Fenway Park.
The Sox extend their winning streak to four games, winning 15 of their last 20 to improve to 43-19 on the season.
It was a strong start for Eduardo Rodriguez, giving up only one run early in the second inning. Meanwhile, Detroit’s Blaine Hardy allowed five runs in six innings, including a massive 4-run third inning for the Red Sox.
