Twitter Is Blowing Up Thanks To J.R. Smith's Foolish Play And LeBron's Reaction

Twitter has been on fire ever since last night's lack of awareness by J.R. Smith, which essentially cost LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers a win in Game 1 of the 2018 NBA Finals.

Here's the play where Smith snagged an offensive rebound off a missed George Hill free throw, with a chance at a buzzer-beating, game-winning basket.

The series of tweets below highlight some of feelings following the game from a fan's perspective, and for all intensive purposes, LeBron's perspective too.

To quote the Johnny Knoxville classic, The Ringer, "when the f*** did we get ice cream?"

More like this will be LeBron everyday he has left playing with Smith.

LeBron vs. Everybody?

And of course a Canadian Football League team has to take their shot at James and Smith too.

It sounds like he had trouble finding Kyrie Irving on Thursday night. Oh wait. That's because he's in Boston now a member of the Celtics. Whoops! My bad.

Which team is LeBron looking at like that as he approaches free agency?

Hey Smith! Three things: You blew it. Super hard. Complete buffoonery.

Oh snap! LeBron's still in the locker room. Quick! Turn around!

Here's a shot of James following the Game 1 loss and Smith's bone-headed play.

Here's what happened when LeBron found Smith in the locker room following the game.

"What are you doing man?!"

Sorry but I had to save the best for last.

So from a New England/Boston fan's perspective, this one has to the best one out there.

For Smith's sake, lets hope this dude learned his lesson about being aware of the situation and more importantly, the score and time on the clock. Especially after all this nonsense!

Here's one more for the road.

Are LeBron and Steph Curry talking smack about how stupid Smith is?

If I was betting man, I'd put my money on YES! They're definitely talking smack because they're covering their mouths for a reason and they just have that look, you know?
