New England Patriots

By Matt Dolloff,

The Patriots’ roster is officially a lot more crowded. The team announced on Friday that they’ve signed six of their nine 2018 draft picks, in addition to nine undrafted rookie free agents.

Fifth-round pick Ja’Whaun Bentley has been signed, as have sixth-rounders Christian Sam and Braxton Berrios. In addition, the Pats have signed seventh-round quarterback Danny Etling¬†and fellow seventh-rounders Keion Crossen and Ryan Izzo.

Finally, the Patriots announced the signing of nine undrafted free agents: receivers Darren Andrews out of UCLA and Chris Lacy out of Oklahoma State; defensive linemen John Atkins out of Georgia, Trent Harris out of Miami, and Frank Herron out of LSU; defensive backs J.C. Jackson out of Maryland and A.J. Moore out of Mississippi; running back Ralph Webb out of Vanderbilt; and tight end Shane Wimann out of Northern Illinois.

The only rookies left on the docket for the Patriots are first-round picks Isaiah Wynn and Sony Michel, as well as second-round pick Duke Dawson. Those announcements should only be a matter of time.
