The Montreal Canadiens learned not to hustle a hustler Monday.
Having some fun at the expense of their century-long rival the day after the Lightning eliminated the Bruins from the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Canadiens decided to set their sights on Bruins winger Brad Marchand on Twitter.
Sans nommer personne, on rappelle qu'il est déconseillé de licher sur un terrain de golf également.— Canadiens Montréal (@CanadiensMTL) May 7, 2018
Without naming names, just a reminder that licking is frowned upon on the golf course as well.https://t.co/UOYGLsr013
But Marchand responded, and quite simply laid waste to the Canadiens organization with 12 simple words.
Funny...throwing shade when you were out of the playoff race since October— Brad Marchand (@Bmarch63) May 7, 2018
In ‘trouble’ for two face-licking incidents this postseason, the 29-year-old Marchand was still among Boston’s most productive springtime talents, with four goals and 17 points in 12 playoff games this year.
