Betts Hits Two Home Runs, Red Sox Beat Blue Jays 4-3

Mookie Betts hit two home runs as the Boston Red Sox snapped a three-game losing streak to win 4-3 over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday at Rogers Centre.

Mookie Betts hit two home runs as the Boston Red Sox snapped a three-game losing streak to win 4-3 over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday at Rogers Centre.

Betts led off the game with his seventh longball of the season off Jays starter Aaron Sanchez. He later hit a two-run bomb in the top of the seventh inning off reliever Danny Barnes.

Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez improved to 3-0 with another solid outing, going 6.2 innings and allowing three runs on six hits and a walk with three strikeouts.

With Betts' latest monster game, the right fielder is now batting .350 with eight homers and 17 RBIs in 21 games on the season.

Up Next: The Red Sox (18-5) take on the Blue Jays in the rubber match on Thursday, with Chris Sale (1-1, 1.86 ERA) taking on Marco Estrada (2-1, 5.32 ERA).
