Mookie Betts Mic'd Up While Chasing Line Drive: 'I Ain't Getting This One, Boys'

Mookie Betts made a spring training play about as entertaining and memorable as it could be on Tuesday.

Watch in the video above, as a mic'd-up Betts chats it up with the announcers in-between pitches. But suddenly, he has to chase down a line drive by the Cubs' Kris Bryant mid-conversation. As he gets into his run, he tells the ESPN crew, "I ain't getting this one, boys."

Baseball showed the potential of mic'd-up players in the field during the 2017 All-Star Game with the Nationals' Bryce Harper. It's unclear whether they're really willing to do this in games that actually count. But moments like these would certainly make baseball more fun to watch, especially between pitches.
