New England Patriots

Julian Edelman is clearly a supporter of many tenets of the TB12 Method. That would include resistance band training – which the Patriots receiver put front-and-center in a new Instagram video on Wednesday. Check out the clip above.

Set to Drake’s new single “God’s Plan” with the caption “determined”, Edelman sprints as hard as he can as a trainer holds a resistance band behind him. The technique is just one part of Tom Brady’s custom physical training methods, but he obviously encourages others to try it.

Red Sox first baseman Hanley Ramirez recently said he also adopted resistance bands (and other parts of the TB12 Method) as part of his own training, which in part has helped him shed 15 pounds ahead of Red Sox spring training.

The Patriots have plenty of needs on defense that need to be addressed in the offseason. But there’s a chance they’ll still be in a bit of a rebuilding phase in 2018, meaning that Brady and the Pats offense will need all hands on deck. Especially if Rob Gronkowski decides to walk away.

But for now, Edelman’s recovery from a torn ACL looks to be going quite well.
