Greg Monroe has reached a buyout agreement with the Phoenix Suns and will now reportedly sign with the Boston Celtics.
The free agent center has agreed to a one year, $5 million contract with Boston, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Monroe started the 2017-18 NBA season in Milwaukee before being traded to Phoenix as part of the Eric Bledsoe trade.
The New Orleans Pelicans were said to be the front-runners in the race to sign Monroe, but were only able to come up with half the amount the Celtics were offering.
Monroe will sign a one-year, $5M deal with Celtics, league sources tell ESPN. Pelicans could only offer $2.2M.
