Leonard Fournette Car Crash Gate? The craziest of crazy NFL fans may wonder what caused the Jaguars running back's accident. But the important thing is Fournette is OK.

Jags spokesman Tad Dickman tweeted the news of Fournette's car crash on Tuesday. His car got rear-ended, but apparently not badly enough to injure him in any way. Fournette drove home safely after the accident.

Fournette rushed for 109 yards and 3 touchdowns on 25 carries in the Jaguars' win over the Steelers on Sunday.

Despite his strong performance against the Steelers, Fournette injured his ankle during the second quarter of the Jaguars' win. He eventually returned in the third quarter, but wasn't as effective. He rushed 13 times for just 27 yards in the second half, but did score his third touchdown from three yards out.

In light of Fournette's ankle injury, his status and participation (or lack thereof) during the Jaguars' practices will be worth monitoring. But it appears that his car crash didn't make it worse or cause any further injury, which is good news all-around.

That said ... Fournette could put up the same numbers he did against the Steelers and it still may not be enough. At the end of the day, the Jags are going to need much more than Fournette on offense to have a chance to keep pace with the Patriots.
